The Little House Book Series is a series of nine children's books written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, the books are mainly focused on her childhood growing up in a pioneer family. Little House in the Big Woods, the first book was published in 1932 when Wilder was 65 years old. The most well known book, Little House on the Prairie was published in 1935.

Each of the books were originally illustrated by Helen Sewell and later Garth Williams. The the series itself has been noted to have been critiqued from a feminist perspective,[1] as well as noting the conservative political message[2] and additionally, the representation of the Osage Indians in the books.
