Janie Kagan was the wife of Joe Kagan (played by Moses Gunn) who appeared in the episode of Little House on the Prairie titled "The Fighter" in Season 4 (episode #10).
Born Jane Johannson, she was the twin sister of Hester-Sue Terhune, who planned to visit Janie when the State took control of the Sleepy Eye Blind School. Both Janie and Hester-Sue were played by Ketty Lester, who would return to the series in the latter role, beginning in the Season 5 episodes "Blind Journey (Part 1)" and "Blind Journey (Part 2)" (episodes #12 and #13), Hester-Sue would become the love interest of Janie's husband Joe, after she had presumably died.
