Edward Warren Ingalls or Uncle Ned was the brother of Lansford Ingalls and the uncle of Charles Ingalls.

Edward was a rich but eccentric man from St. Louis, Missouri and the owner of a big house on the top of a hill that looked down on a river. He was a difficult man and was married to a woman but they had no children and were not on the best of terms. He was the owner of the Ingall's Carriage Company. When Charles was five years old, he remembered being in the dinning room swinging from a big chandelier that he broke. When he died, he left Charles the owner of the Carriage Company and a box of worthless Confederate money. (Episode 418: The Inheritance)
